Data Ethics, AI and Responsible Innovation
The University of Edinburgh

How should we act in the age where artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing our lives. What is right and what is wrong? Being a tech-savvy, you probably have your own answers, but if not, this course is helping to explore the AI-enabled world and is inspiring you to find them.

I like this course because there are cases make my eyes pop: jury manipulation, predicative policing, and debate on the gene databases. I also learned a few cool concepts like surveillance capitalism, digital communism, algorithm economy, etc. When it comes to the discussion of distributive fairness, you probably will be surprised the importance of statistics and approaches used behind the scene. There are a lot!

Making data / AI ethical and responsible is a fast developing field. This course gives you a sneak peak at the direction where this society and humanity are going.
