Generative AI is never something new, but it was really hot hot hot in the past two years. Definitely this field is the new tout for many tech giants, including my employer. An acquaintance once asked me “you have learned and earned so many certs on Coursera, why on the earth none of them is from IBM?” Hmmm, good question, why not?

With some development experience in GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) and VAE (Variational Autoencoder), theoretically Generative AI is not totally new to me. However, when the picture is extended from text and image to audio, video and even virtual reality, Generative AI is never something that an individual can handle and master.

This course introduces basic concepts, applications, the entire ecosystem, helps you understand what is the expected, and what is the reality. It is exciting to embrace a promising feature, but it is more important to have your feet on the ground, before moving forward step by step.
